Each player puts in a small number of chips at the beginning of each round. A white chip, or light-colored chip, is worth the minimum ante or bet; a red chip, or dark-colored chip, is worth ten white chips. Players can also buy in for larger amounts, such as 25 whites or four or five reds.
After each round of betting, the dealer reveals 5 community cards and the players must make a poker hand of 5. The highest-ranking poker hand is the royal flush, which contains a 10, Jack, Queen, King, and Ace of the same suit. Other hands include a straight flush, which is 5 consecutive cards of the same suit; a three of a kind; and a pair. The highest hand wins the pot, unless there is a tie. If there is a tie, the dealer wins.
